CoreWeave Secures $4 Billion Deal with OpenAI

Nvidia-backed AI cloud provider CoreWeave has inked a $4 billion agreement with OpenAI, extending their existing partnership through April 2029. The deal builds on a prior $11.9 billion five-year contract signed in March 2025, which included an equity stake for OpenAI in CoreWeave.
Investors reacted with cautious Optimism as CoreWeave’s stock rose 3% following the announcement. However, concerns linger over the company’s ambitious $20-23 billion capital expenditure plan for 2025. CoreWeave anticipates revenues between $4.9 billion and $5.1 billion from this expanded collaboration.
